Hi!
I am so glad to have you on my page.
My name is Liliane Angela Daou, I am currently a management and strategy consultant in New York. Originally, I am from Lebanon where I grew up and went to school and college. I worked a couple of years in Dubai and then moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to get my MBA and MA in international studies from the Wharton school of the University of Pennsylvania.
I LOVE to travel (deeeuh) – growing up, I used to visit new countries every year and I believe that my travel experiences have shaped the person I am today. Nowadays, I still chase those experiences, and try to escape my daily job to hop on a new adventure.
You see, I believe that true learning and growth come from outside of the classroom or the office. They come from being in new places, meeting new faces and living new experiences. That’s really why I am so addicted to travel, because it allows people to see new things, beyond their horizons. Think about it yourself. Do you remember anything from the theories you learned in school or the daunting tasks you have to do at work? I am pretty sure you barely do. But how about the unique things you lived on your last trip? How much more impact did they have on you?
So I am here to share with you what I learn from the world. My blog is a gallery where I store my best destinations, local experiences as well as some of the most interesting facts about the places I visit. I promise it won’t all be about the touristy mainstream places or facts you can easily find on google. I am also here to present authentic, local, hidden gems around the world. Things like a local market in Senegal, a ritual ceremony in Sri Lanka or a conversation with a Colombian.
So come on, scroll these pages, explore new places and laugh with new faces.
I truly hope you enjoy roaming places.
